Pip: Can you take me to the theatre tomorrow night at 6pm?

Me: Sure. What are you going for?

Pip: I’m in the Eisteddfod.

Me: You’re in the Eisteddfod? Really? What are you doing?

Pip: I’m playing with the guitar ensemble.

Me: Oh. Did I know that?

Pip: Only if someone else told you. It’s the first time I’ve mentioned it.

Me: sigh…
