From Paper to Reality

The quilt design which I had drawn and coloured…

left the paper and came to reality on the weekend.

It needs applique and borders yet, but I’m pretty happy with it so far.

The process of getting from paper to real life is not quite so dramatic as this…

but it would be so cool if it were!

Love the quilt, and the video. Also like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p023YD3DDPg

  3. That looks to me like the perfect North Queensland quilt!

  4. Giggle at the comparison to Take on Me … thank goodness somebody isn’t brandishing a giant pipe wrench at you while you try to work!

  5. I always sing *Pipe Wrench Fight* when I hear that song. Your quilt top is lovely.

  6. I’m alwas amazed at how quickly you can get projects from concept to reality. Slow everything down by a factor of around 100, and you would come close to my plan-to-actual timeline.

Great video…one of my all-time faves.

  7. So intriguing, & so rewarding for you, to see your dream spring to life!

  8. Oh the angsty videos of the 80’s. Do kids these days know what music videos are? Did the ipod kill the video like video killed the radio?

Lovely design…. better in reality than on paper!

  9. Very lovely indeed. Like your Pip. (Do you mean that your Pete isn’t actually a Pete at all? Or is he Pete Peterson – a character from Lake Wobegon? My grandfather-in-law was Robert Robertson.)
