Looming

We are going to the beach today to have some family photos taken.

Our family is in its last days in its current state.

Changes are looming large now.

Roll on 2008… there’s no stopping it now.

I left on Jan 17th, according to the archives. I wonder if the date is the same !?!? šŸ™‚

Can’t wait to see your pics if you share them.

Hope you’re holding up ok šŸ™‚

  2. Yes, I hope to see the pics too. Oh Tracey. Hugs and cuddles and bracing pats on the back and cups of tea. love Caroline xxx

  3. Thank heavens for phones, and email, and Facebook and all the other things that we have that make staying in contact so easy. We have just been looking at photos taken on Christmas Day in Hawaii by three 18 year olds – clearly having the time of their lives surfing in Santa hats – but able to share the fun immediately via Facebook with their friends and family.

  4. Awww, I don’t know what to say to make it better. But I wish I did.

  5. *sniffles* the only people in the WHOLE WORLD who like change are wet babies, and even then they often object. As Alice said – at least now communication is SO much easier than when we were kids – or even 10 years ago. Hope the weather etc co-operated and you got some lovely pics!

  6. Oh yes. Thank goodness for modern technology. But still…. it is such a distinct passage of life isn’t it…. one we all know is coming, but are we ever truly prepared? Warm thoughts for you. I know it must be a time of both pride in such a beautiful young woman, but scary too.

  7. Yes to the modern communications miracles!
When my daughter left home, I was just bereft. I cant describe the feeling.

    Hugs

  8. I got the “Picture” great STEP forwards to ou too!

I wish You a Happy and Creative 2008, Look at my Happy fireworks and wishes. See my blog:)(c) JoAnn

  9. If there is any solace, I understand that this generation moves out of home and returns shortly and then never leaves again, or at least not for a long time! Still, I can’t imagine the internal turmoil ~ and, worse, (gasp) the loss of the primary household cook! Which causes me to wonder: how is Plan B? Despite his cast, is he able to lift heavy pots, chop with one hand (as the other is grasping the counter for balance), and perform all the necessary culinary tasks? Time is coming to saddle up to the counter! Bon voyage, Plan A, and to your marker, errr counter, Plan B!

  10. You’re right… things will never be the same again. Things can only get better… šŸ™‚

  11. I have been thinking of you. As you know I am not looking forward to Margot going to school so can only imagine how you must be feeling.
