  1. Heck no! I felt like I had been let out of jail when I finished high school!

  2. Nope.

Good luck to the dear girl with the life that lies ahead, starting tomorrow!

  3. I have to say that I think there are other very exciting times in your life (first day at uni, first trip overseas, first serious job, wedding. babies etc) – but I don’t think there is another time in your life when you feel more liberated – free to just get on with your life without the sheer routine of school – does this make sense?

Wishing her a magnificent night and a wonderful post school life…

  4. I must have thought so at the time, but I can hardly remember it now…

I hope you show us the frock being worn under that bling.

    I see bling ! I want bling !

I was too serious for such things, and missed out on schoolgirl folly and fancy. Silly me.

I am as jealous as all get out 🙂

  6. There is nothing like that delicious finished school with no pressures or responsibilities (until the next lot start) feeling.

I hope your daughter has a fabulous night!

    (PS seriously love the bling)

I, too, felt as if I’d been let out of jail. I couldn’t wait to get away from school. Hope the evening is glorious and memorable in ten thousand good ways.

  8. I hope Ashleigh has a wonderful night. The last day of school felt like such freedom and you never feel or are the same after that. *sigh* And check out that gorgeous bling!!

  9. What a liberating feeling! And to celebrate with a formal. (Don’t hate me because of the and, please). What a way to kick off the next chapter of your life.

  10. The beginning of the rest of her life!
I hope she had a wonderful time. I am sure she did.

Hang in there Tracey, this is where the ties begin to loosen..

  11. I remember looking forward to the end of high school & heading off to university! I remember watching others (drunkenly) crying about “this is the best time of our lives” and thinking, “Nah, this is just the beginning!”

Is that a ring that your photo was showing? Perhaps a gift to celebrate graduation?

  12. right – now I want photos, gossip, everything!

  13. Lisa

What a gorgeous young woman! Congratulations on graduating. You should know that one of your sisters is taking all the credit!

  14. Angie

What a beautiful girl! Congratulations on graduating! Hope your night was all you had hoped it would be. 🙂

  15. Well you know that you’ve been on borrowed time for a while! Lovely photos, you must be so proud.
    Cheers

  16. Aha. I see you don’t post every day. I’ll check back another time soon.
    Cheers

  17. Oh she looks so lovely… did you cry? My son graduates high school in June. I’m sure I will cry.
