that’s pretty funny. but i really do see your point, nothing more annoying than same squares next to each other! i think it’s harder getting a random look with a select range.

I know exactly what you mean. I’m a huge fan of spontaneity – as long as it is carefully planned.
Can’t you just cover the non-randomness with appliques? That could become spontaneous too?!
