Random

I find it important to plan random placement of fabric.

If I don’t carefully plan truly random things happen and the same fabrics might accidentally be stitched together. Can’t have that…

    that’s pretty funny. but i really do see your point, nothing more annoying than same squares next to each other! i think it’s harder getting a random look with a select range.

  3. I know exactly what you mean. I’m a huge fan of spontaneity – as long as it is carefully planned.

  4. Can’t you just cover the non-randomness with appliques? That could become spontaneous too?!

  5. So, so true. Even though I’m a pretty laid-back quilter, I do the same thing! Glad I’m not the only one.
