After work each day I walk from my office to my Pete’s. It takes about twenty minutes.
As I walk over the hill I am rewarded with a peek at the Pacific Ocean above the concrete surrounds.
The sea breeze against my face is a highlight of my day.

How wonderful…. both walking from your office to Pete’s at the end of the day and the sight of the ocean.
A gulp of sea air after spending a day in air conditioning is most welcome too.
Of course, being warm while the rest of us freeze (those of us in Sydney, that is) would be an added bonus!
Variously warm, hot, boiling and melting…
I miss that view. When I lived in Townsville, I walked all around the city centre….my flat was in North Ward….oh I miss the sweaty walks with great views….it’s so bl—-dy cold here this week that I’m jealous, very jealous Tracey. Enjoy it!
That is a lovely thing.
I’ll think of you tonight whilst I walk in the shadows of huge buildings.
I spent time on my walks this week imagining shadows of huge buildings.
What a wonderful way to end the day!
It is indeed.
Beautiful. I find nature to be very soothing. The fact that the whole world keeps on marching forward, spinning into the future, even on the days when I feel cranky and grumpy and out of sorts.
The sea doesn’t mind if you’re cranky.
Aw beautiful! You’ve made me homesick for Townsville and Magnetic Island. I haven’t been back for 17 years, but I’m headed up in June/July for the SCQuilters retreat. I’ve asked for a room with a view to the island so I can wake up to it each morning.
You might even squeeze in a ferry trip over to Nelly Bay.
The dinner on Saturday night is going to to be Magnetic Island. No idea when, but I’m excited to be going back!
Lovely. I imagine it must be such a great way to put an end to the working day. The full stop on it.
It certainly clears my mind of work thoughts.
love that view. I am so glad to be back in townsville!
